User Administration

User Administration allows you to add new users to Etelligent and also to edit the profile of an existing user. The same screens are used for both adding and editing.

Etelligent also allows you to restrict what a user can access. You are able to:


The add/edit screen looks like this:

Add User

First Name, Last Name

These are added for user identification purposes.

Email

This is required so that we can contact a user should it be reported that they are having a problem with the application.

User Type

The valid options are:

  • Administrator - This gives full access to the functionality of Etelligent plus access to all content. You should define at least one Administrator for each installation.
  • Editor - This is for users who should not have access to full functionality but can access all content. When this type of user is added you will be asked to specify exactly which navigation options he or she will be able to access.
  • Page Editor - This is for users who have both limited functionality access and limited content access. In addition to specifiying valid navigation options as for Editor, you will additionally have the oportunity to specify which campaign folders the person will be able to access.

Valid To

This is the date after which the account will no longer allow access to Etelligent. It can be used to give time limited access to temporary staff.

Active

Unless this option is ticked the account will be considered closed.

Username

This is the name that needs to be given when logging onto the Etelligent applicaiton.

Password

This is used to validate the user when they log on. Passwords need to be secure. They should be at least 8 character long, and must contain at least one character that is NOT a letter. Passwords are not case sensitive. You will have to re-type this password in under Confirm Password to ensure that it has been entered correctly.

You need to select 'emailMarketingRoot.asp' from the drop down list.
