"Why are my test emails not appearing in my inbox?"

The number one reason for your Etelligent emails not being delivered is a lack of a plain text version.

Etelligent sends its emails in "multi-part" format, meaning emails identify themselves as having both an HTML part and a plain text part. If one of these parts is missing, your email may appear to be "spam-like" to your mail server or anti-spam software. To create your plain text email go to Edit Plain Text Email and click Generate Plain Text Version. This will suck in the text and links from your completed HTML version, but you may wish to spend some time laying your email out. In the testing phase, it's probably not worth doing very much with the plain text version until the HTML is finalised.

Quick check list if your email is not being delivered:

  • Check your junk mail folder
  • Speak to your network administrator and find out what anti-spam software you may be running and what criteria it searches for in incoming emails
  • Make sure you have a plain text version
  • Ensure you aren't creating any Phising links
