Surveys

Etelligent's Survey module will build Surveys, Webforms, Questionairs etc... that can be used in association with an email campaign to collect data about your contacts. An Etellient Survey can also be used as part of an on-line contact registration system.

How surveys are built
Surveys are built by specification. This means that you are not directly designing the survey but rather you set out:
- The questions that you want answered.
- The way in which the answer should be given.
- Where the answers are to be stored.
- Any actions that should occur when the form is submitted (e.g. Thank you email)

Once a survey has been created the recommended practice is to put the survey in a web page. Although it is possible to do so it is not advisable to insert surveys to emails. This is largely due to the email being detected as Spam and therefore never reaching the recipient. Find out how to Insert a Survey on a Webpage.
Viewing Results from Surveys
1. Click on Survey Management or View Surveys if the Survey Management navigation is expanded.
2. Click on Edit beside the name of the form you wish to view results of.
3. Click on the button View Results located under the Survey Actions. A paginated table is displayed with the results. There is the option to export the list to a CSV file or to create a mailing filter which includes or excludes the contacts in the results table.

First you will need to create a Survey Filter.
Applying Survey Filters
1. Click on Survey Management or View Surveys if the Survey Management navigation is expanded.
2. Click on Edit beside the name of the form you wish to view results of.

4. Select the filter you wish to use from the drop-down list and click Show Data to apply the filter.
