Plain Text Version
From EtelligentWiki
It is recommended practice to send both an HTML and a Plain Text version of your emails to your contacts. One reason for this is that some contacts may use mail clients that cannot interpret HTML code. Another reason is that some Spam detection software may see the absence of a Plain Text version as indicative of illegitimate mail.
Creating a plain text version
1. Open the e-mail that you wish to create a Plain Text version of.
2. Under E-mails in the navigation pane select Edit Plain Text E-mail.
3. Click on Generate Plain Text Version. This will extract the text and links from the HTML version and place them in the editable area on the page. NOTE: This is only meant as a starting point and you should format the code that is generated before sending the mail.
4. Once the e-mail has been edited click on the submit button and this will saved along side the HTML version for when it may be required.
