Personalisation
From EtelligentWiki
Personalisation of emails is a powerful technique for sending one email but varying the content the recipient receives based on their profile. For example, a single email is to be sent detailing latest offers but it is desirable that the UK recipients see the prices in £ and those recipients in Europe see prices in €. Rather than create two separate emails for each market a single email can be created which includes two components, one showing the price in £ and a separate one showing the price in €.
If you want to personalise a message then you need to put the content that is variable into separate Components (see also Document Structure. Add all the content and components before you apply the personalisation.
Once the content has been prepared, take the personalisation option from the Region tool bar. You can then apply a Component Filter to those components that are variable.
