Mail to Link
From EtelligentWiki
A Mail To link is used when you want to offer the person who received an Email or the person viewing a WebPage the ability to send you an email. When clicked, the Mail To link will cause the persons email client to open up with your email address already entered. You can also put in a default subject line for the email.
Note: As a large number of your recipients may be using webmail email clients (e.g. GMail, Yahoo! Mail, and Hotmail) clicking on "mailto:" links for some people will not always work correctly. For some it will result in an unconfigurated email client being opened on their computer, or perhaps just an error message.
When you select the Hyperlink icon from the Graphical Editor the following dialog box will appear.
How to add a 'Mail To' link
1) Make sure that the Source radio button is checked.
2) Select 'mailto:' from the source dropdown.
3) Put the email address in the text field next to the source. Eg support@colony101.co.uk
4) You can default the subject line of the email by adding the required text prefixed by '?subject=' after the email address. eg "support@colony101.co.uk?subject=Etelligent%20Wiki". Note that the 'space' between 'Etelligent' and 'Wiki' has been replaced by '%20'. All spaces in the subject line need to be replaced in this way.
5) Add a Title for your link. This text will be displayed when a user positions the mouse pointer over the link.
6) Once you are happy with the specification click the Insert button then click OK.
For Example
A invitation to email support@colony101.co.uk would look like this
