Link to External WebPage

When you select the Hyperlink icon from the Graphical Editor the following dialog box will appear.

How to link to an external website

1) Make sure that the Source radio button is checked.

2) Select 'http://' or possibly 'https://' as appropriate from the source dropdown.

3) Enter the rest of the URL into the text field beside the drop-down. The best way to be sure that you have entered the URL correctly is to copy and paste it in from a web browser after having navigated to the required page.

4) Select a target from the drop-down.

• Self: This will cause the new page to open in the same browser window.
• Blank: This will cause the new page to open in a new window.
• Parent: This is used when you are working with frames. Please contact your support team for more info if you require this functionality.

5) Add a Title for your link. This text will be displayed when a user positions the mouse pointer over the link.

6) Once you are happy with the specification click the Insert button then click OK.

There is an advanced feature that allows you to use Merge Fields in hyperlinks.
