Link Names
From EtelligentWiki
The Link Name is the description that Etelligent will use when reporting on a email to display statistics. It is, therefore, important that good link names are given as this makes the reports much easier to use.
The Link Name may be edited in Link Management. Etelligent will however try to develop a 'good' link name automatically. The default Link Name is created according to the following order of priorities:
- First, the value entered in the 'Title'
- Second, the 'link text' (Unless the link is behind an image)
- Third, the actual URL
The link management table is created/updated when you take that option in the navigation. If a new link is identified, then an entry is added to the table. No action is taken for existing links.
Once the link management table has been created, a subsequent edit of the email will have no effect on the link name.
There is an option when creating an email to 'copy component filters and link names'. The default is for this not to happen, but if that box is checked, anything that you have setup in the template will be copied to the new email.
