Forward to a Friend Link

Etelligent has a built in feature that allows contacts to Forward to a Friend an email they have received.

You should note, however, that your recipients are more likely to forward an email using the features of their email client by simply clicking the "Forward" button.

Note about forwarded Emails
If a recipient forwards one of your Emails to a friend using the "Forward" button of their email client rather than Etelligent's Forward to a Friend feature, any clickthroughs or Survey submissions the friend makes will be logged against the original recipient.

How to insert the link

When you select Internal Link from the Graphical Editor the following dialog box will appear.

How to insert a 'Forward to a Friend' Power Link

From the Select Power Link dropdown select 'Forward to a Friend' then click the Insert button.

What happens when you forward an email to a friend

When one of your recipients clicks the 'Forward to a Friend' Link, this screen will appear:

Here a recipient can enter their friend's name, email address, and a short message that will appear at the top of the forwarded email.

When they click on 'Forward Now' they will see the following screen which also gives them the option to forward your Email to another friend:

The forwarded copy of the Email will have this added at the top which gives details of the person that forwarded the Email, the message they entered if any, and the option for the friend to subscribe as a contact:
