Filters

Filter is the term that Etelligent uses to refer to the instructions or rules which define a subset of records from the Contacts Database.
There are various types of filter.
Filters to view and export contact records
Filters used to send emails or SMS messages
Filters to allow message personalisation
Filters to analyse results
Although there are various kinds of filter the way in which they are defined is common for all the types. Sometimes Etelligent will automatically create a filters. Even filters that are automatically created can be reviewed and endited using the standard Filter Editor.
Many filters can be made by entering a simple one line specification. However, if you want to define a complex set of instructions, you will need to understand how Clauses and Conditions work in a filter.
