Email Subject Line

The subject line of the email is what the recipient sees when the message appears in his or her inbox.
It is possible to send out an email that split-tests two or more alternate subject lines. This will help you to find out what type of subject line is most effective and has the greater impact. Multiple subject lines can be set in Email Properties. Once you have the properties page on the screen, take the Advanced Options link. This is the screen you will be presented with.
The effectiveness of the alternative subject lines can later be analysed though report.
Merge fields can also be used in subject lines. Again this is done in Email Properties. A standard Merge Fields selector is provided to allow you add personalised information into the subject line
