Edit SMS Properties

Clicking "Edit SMS Properties" after selecting an SMS Message gives you the following values to modify:

You can choose to enter something such as your company name into this field and it will appear as the sender of the SMS Message when received on a contact's phone.
Doing this, however, will overwrite the reply telephone number that would otherwise be sent out with your SMS Messages which will result in your contacts not being able to reply to you.
If you wish to allow your contacts to reply to you, perhaps to unsubscribe using the word "STOP" or just to ask a question, then you should leave the From value blank.
Default Salutation
This field works in the same way as the Default Salutation field on the Email Properties page:
If you were to use the "--name--" or "--formalName--" Mergefields in your SMS Message and then sent it to a contact without values in their Title and lastName or firstName of their contact record, Etelligent would merge in the value set in the Default Salutation box instead of leaving a blank.
Typical values are "sir/madam" or "customer".
