Contacts Database

This is the list of contacts maintanied for the purpose of sending out email and/or SMS messages. You should be aware that in Etelligent all contacts are stored in a single table. This is the Contacts Table. You can define the columns in this table and add to or remove the standard ones that are defined by default in all new installations. More information is available on Managing Contact Fields.

It is possible to identiy subsets of the set of contacts either by some rule (e.g. everyboby with contact type equal to 'Customer', where valid options might be 'Prospect', 'Customer' or 'Ex-Customer') of because all the contact were loaded at the same time (eg here is a list of 'people who attended a conference', please remeber them. These subsets are defined by Filters.

There are a number of ways of getting your contacts loaded into Etelligent's contacts database:

• Manually typing in the information
• Uploading your contacts
• Having contacts directly register in Etelligent using a Registration Page
• Direct database to database transfer of data

All the tools to manage and work with your contacts database are available under the Contacts area of the Etelligent Navigation Pannel. The avaiable options are
