Examples of Actions
- A contact has demonstrated an interest in a topic by clicking a link in your email. For anyone who clicked a link with an associated Action, you could automatically send more information about that topic in the next few days.
- The contact has downloaded a PDF. You could automatically send an email following up on its usefulness
- You might want to send a thank you email following a survey submission.
- If you are using double opt-in on registration this is the way to send the confirmation email.
- When a recipient submits a form, create a whole chain of triggered emails to go at set intervals.

Monitoring Your Actions
When you create a Send Email action, Etelligent creates a Send Order for it with the Date & Time value set to the date and time that the Action was created. As the View Send Orders page displays Send Orders in descending Date & Time order, the Send Order for your Action will slowly slip down through the pages as Send Orders from Emails as well as other Send Email Actions are created.
To keep track of it go to the View Send Orders as soon as you have created it (so that the Send Order is likely to be on the first page) and make a note of the Send Order ID and Date & Time value. Then you will be able to keep a check on it.
To help identify them, the View Send Orders page shows the Filter value as "ACTION SEND" for Send Email actions.
